This barn was designed for large family gatherings, reunions, and a place to display family treasures.
All of the knee braces are mortise and tenon but the client specifically requested steel plate connectors and a “distressed industrial finish”.
The frame is Southern Yellow Pine, noted for its strength, large timber sizes, dryness, availability, color, and grain appearance.
We, at Woodhouse, worked closely with the clients’ designer to develop the look of this unique family barn.
