LEAD ARCHITECT & MANAGER - DESIGN DEPARTMENT
Andy started at Woodhouse® in the spring of 2003 after working six years at a large commercial architecture/engineering firm. He has a bachelor's of architecture degree and is licensed in six states. Andy came to Woodhouse® with the intent to have a closer relationship with clients and gain more exposure to custom design. The uniqueness of each client provides a new challenge on each project and the added aesthetic of the timber frame truly allows for all kinds of possibilities.

Currently, Andy manages the Woodhouse® design department where they constantly work to create new and different timber frame aesthetics. The design department utilizes the most up-to-date technology available and is constantly looking for ways to achieve better quality with improved efficiency. Outside the office Andy enjoys spending time with his wife and their children.
COMPANY FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
With a BFA in sculpture, one-and-a-third tours in Vietnam, some graduate work in ceramics, a year of substitute teaching and a journeyman's experience in carpentry behind him, Steve Keller and his first business partner founded Solar Northern in 1978 as a passive solar design company. This was Steve's stepping stone to the founding of Woodhouse® in 1980, and then The Murus Company in 1987.

Steve won't deny that in the process of "trying to find himself" (his description is much more graphic) and ideally, a job where he could express his creativity and into which he could pour his values, he was incredibly fortunate to have started a timber frame company. Crafting his companies to deliver the very best services and products possible, he has imbued Woodhouse® with passionate idealism that really delivers for all of our clients and makes the company such a great place to work.

Those who have to deal with Steve's steady stream of creative ideas are pleased that he has a long commute to our Pennsylvania offices from his home in sunny (sunshine being the operative) home in Boulder, Colorado. Otherwise you are likely to find Steve, his daughters Rebecca and Hali and wife Lynn somewhere on the coast of Maine or in a sailboat heading to some new port. Although clients who own sailboats are not guaranteed a discount, if you invite Steve along for a sail (he's entertaining company), you will certainly benefit for his 30 plus years of timber frame and SIP experience.
FINANCE MANAGER
After 15 years as a stay-at-home mom, Robin attended Mansfield University majoring in accounting and economics. Upon graduation in 2003, she was offered the position as the finance manager at Woodhouse®. For Robin this was an opportunity to remain close to home while building a challenging and rewarding career. Robin has since taken on many additional responsibilities at Woodhouse® including human resources and benefits management.
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Todd started at Woodhouse® in 1999 after graduating from Penn State where he received a BS in both physics and civil engineering. He originally started as a draftsman while still working in the coal mine that funded his college tuition.

Originally, Todd's mindset was that his time at Woodhouse® would only be temporary until he could decide on the first real step of his career path. Since then Todd has worked in several different areas of Woodhouse® including estimating, purchasing, and for 7 years as the leader of the entire design team. Todd's temporary intentions soon changed as he dove into the challenges and was adopted by the Woodhouse® family. His current focus is to improve the manufacturing process and coordinate our deliveries throughout all aspects of the company as the operations manager. Outside of Woodhouse® Todd likes to spend time with his wife Sarah, and his family and friends. He loves the outdoors and is a dedicated Archery hunter.
ARCHITECT INTERN
Jessica Malarik has been the intern architect on the Woodhouse® design team since January 2007. She holds a bachelor's of architecture degree from Penn State University and her master's of architecture from Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute. Jessica has experience in both residential and commercial architecture, as well as historic preservation. She is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a member of the Association for Preservation Technology (APT). A native of Pennsylvania, Jessica is thrilled to be starting a new career in the Mansfield area.
REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - WEST
Ned has a background of over 30 years in sales, marketing and management with titles ranging from salesman to president and everywhere in between, at small companies to large corporations. Almost all of his experience is related to the construction industry in both commercial and personal home development. Most recently, Ned has over 15 years experience in the timber frame and log home industry. He has found these last 15 years of his career to be the most satisfying: "And that comes from you, our client. To start a journey with someone at times with a sketch on the back of a napkin coupled with open dialogue, and go through a design and building process that can be as quick as nine months or last several years is quite incredible. The end result is your dream home and the only thing that mattered is what did you want, what did you need, and what were you budgeting for your project. My function is to pull all these elements together for you, to see if your goals can be met by imparting solid information to enable you to make the right decisions for yourselves, and to guide you through the process making it as seamless as possible."

"At Woodhouse® our goal is your complete satisfaction; my reward is your happiness and willingness to say to your friends and family, 'This is a Woodhouse®, talk to Ned.' The key to knowing all of us at Woodhouse® have accomplished our goal is my invitation to the 'barbeque.' I always bring the wine."
PRESIDENT & GENERAL MANAGER
After "doing the corporate thing" (several senior executive positions at a Fortune 500 and smaller industrial manufacturers), Pat and his family decided to begin doing something they actually enjoyed. A 30-year acquaintance of Steve Keller, the company's founder, Pat joined Woodhouse® in 2003 and worked as a regional sales manager in order to see firsthand how the Woodhouse® organization supported its clients. He became an owner, the president and general manager in 2004 and subsequently has cheered the entire Woodhouse® team along a path of continuous improvement and aggressive growth. Pat also blogs about Timber Frame Home building in our Timber Frame Blogger blog.

Pat lives in a recently completed SmartWood™ home (a modified version of the Mountainview design which is available for a personal tour) with his wife Tracy and assorted menagerie of children, dogs, cats, and birds. His home is located in the Finger Lakes region of New York state about one hour north of the Woodhouse® campus.
